PROJECT DESCRIPTION 

Augusta University’s Translational Research Building is set to become a world-class research institution and equip students with marketable skills, knowledge, and experience in areas such as medicine and technology.

This new building will bring together researchers from multiple disciplines under one roof. Key elements of this project include:

  1. Computational research spaces
  2. Wet lab research
  3. BSL 1-3 labs
  4. Vivarium
  5. Clinical spaces
  6. Instructional spaces
  7. Office spaces
  8. Collaborative spaces
  9. Sustainable design & construction
  10. “Smart” building design

The design of this impactful building will begin this summer with construction documents scheduled to be completed in the fall of this year.

The Translational Research Building, once complete, will enhance the economic competitiveness of Georgia by supporting modern research and innovation.
