Cartersville, GA
Georgia Highlands College, Student Center

The 55,000-square-foot student center at Georgia Highlands College’s Cartersville campus serves as a vibrant hub for student life, designed to foster connection, wellness, and engagement. Architecturally inspired by a mountain lodge aesthetic, the facility features a dramatic roofline and a two-story stone fireplace that anchors an expansive, open-air student lounge—creating a warm, inviting environment for gathering and collaboration.

The center offers a diverse mix of amenities that support both recreation and daily campus life, including a café, game room, and flexible social spaces. A comprehensive fitness component includes weight and cardio areas, two multi-purpose volleyball and basketball courts, and a suspended indoor running track that overlooks the activity below. Together, these elements create a dynamic, student-focused destination that enhances the campus experience and promotes a strong sense of community.
