Construction of a 147,000 SF multi-use learning center with a $33.6 million budget

BDR is overseeing all phases of a five-story, 147,000 SF project planned to contain several departments and classrooms dedicated to student learning and success. The $33.6M building is intended to complement student advisement and support services and is dedicated to student study, Career Planning, Global Studies, student advising, Honors College, and also includes a new Interdisciplinary Research Center program.

Located directly at the center of the Kennesaw Campus north of the Carmichael Student Center, the exterior curtainwall features brick, metal panels, and punched window openings to seamlessly blend with KSU’s existing campus architecture.

BDR’s team is successfully maintaining the 147,000 SF center project within budget and fully delivering the planned programming. Once finished, students will have access to 16 classrooms, six seminar rooms, a 200-seat multi-use auditorium, student study and common spaces, computer classrooms, and other specialized labs. The ALC is expected to be completed by October 2021.
