BDR is serving as the program manager for the Phase 1 implementation of The Westminster Schools’ master plan. Critical goals of the project that BDR will address are to increase classroom count and capacity, encourage new learning opportunities in integrated learning labs, increase social and study spaces for students, provide immediate dining relief, and address parking concerns. Numerous buildings will be renovated and expanded to support the school’s mission.
Hawkins Hall: A new three-story building is being constructed to hold space for learning, catalyst labs, student collaboration areas, grab and go café with outdoor dining plaza.
Campbell Hall Renovation: Renovation of existing classrooms to provide state of the art technology to assist with student collaboration and teaching. Building includes breakout areas for student collaboration zones and small conference rooms for student projects and staff meetings
Community Plaza & Stadium: The new community plaza connection from the rest of the campus to the stadium allows for ADA access to the stadium and athletic fields. Also, a place where students, faculty, and alumni can gather for events throughout the school year.
Parking Deck: New precast parking deck to replace existing on-grade parking to allow for centralizing parking at front of campus. This will allow for spaces to support all parking needs on campus daily and for events.
Westminster Center Phase 1: New classroom building at the start of campus Quad to create an improved arrival experience on campus. The building will consist of an expanded gift shop, café, relocated admissions, new locations for performance events and classrooms.
BDR has been instrumental in coordinating all aspects of construction on an active campus including traffic carpool planning, swing year classroom planning, and driving the best value in design and construction implementation.
